This bottom fermented lager is modelled after the German style ' Münchener Dunkel' LOA's copper coloured appearance og slightly roasted/malty body has its origin in the generously use of munich- and crystal malts. This medium bodied beer is finally balanced by Saaz-hops that tone down the sweetness towards the slightly bitter. The wooden ship LOA built in 1920-22 has given name to this beer. LOA is at this very moment being restored in the hometown of this brewery, Aalborg. The restoring, which is expected finished in 2007, costs 11 mio. DKR. The sale of this beer contributes to the funding of the project.
